What is Neurology?
Neurology is the study and treatment of neurological system disorder, including central, peripheral and autonomic nervous system. A neurologist manages structural and functional disorders of nervous system. Common adult neurological disorder includes headache, stroke,neurodegenerative eg Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease, seizure/epilepsy, and peripheral nervous system disorder eg neuropathy.
 
What is Endocrinology?
Endocrinology is the study and treatment of endocrine organs which produce different types of hormones. Hormones are essential to guide metabolism, reproduction, growth, salt and water balance to name a few. Some of the most common endocrine disorders include diabetes, osteoporosis, infertility, and thyroid disorders.
 
How to book an appointment?

Appointment can be made by contacting the rooms on 02 99871588. Alternatively, a referral can be faxed to 02 9477 1672. Once referral received, an appointment will be allocated accordingly. A text reminder will be sent to you a week prior to your scheduled appointment.

On the day of appointment

Please bring along your referral letter, any films or imaging and any relevant reports which may facilitate the consultation. It will also be useful to bring along a list of your current medications and dosage, and log book eg glucose monitoring, headache diary, or event diary if available.

What are Payment Options?

Payment can be made via Eftpos, credit card (except Amex), cheque or cash. Payment on the day of consultation is expected. In general, this is not a bulk billing specialist service. If there are any circumstances that may affect your ability to pay the fee on the day, please ring to discuss. Please bring along your DVA card if you are with Veteran’s affairs. 

 
To cancel an appointment

If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please ring on 02 9987 1588 at least 24 hours prior or cancellation fee of $50.00 may apply.

 
Public transport and parking

Our centre is conveniently located close to Hornsby and Waitara train stations. There is a taxi service from Hornsby Station, and Waitara train stations is a 15 minute walking distance. There are Shorelink buses from Hornsby Station to Hornsby Hospital, which is a 10 minute walk from our centre. Please check the timetable for Shorelink bus service. There are four parking spaces within the premise, and off street parking are also available depending on the time of the day. For Veteran’s affair patients, please inform us if you need a driver to be organised to take you to and fro your appointment.

 
Interpretation services

Please let us know at the time of booking should you need an interpreter so we can organise this for your scheduled appointment. There is no additional charge for this service.
